Overview
KLIA Ekspres is the non-stop airport train between KL Sentral and Kuala Lumpur International Airport, 57km in 28 minutes, with a three-minute hop between KLIA Terminal 2 and Terminal 1. Buy it as a plain single or return, or as the KL TravelPass, which bundles the airport transfer with two consecutive days of unlimited LRT, MRT and Monorail travel on a stored-value card.

- Accessibility: You may carry no more than 3 pieces of personal accompanied luggage on our trains free of charge.
- Restriction: Please note that animals, firearms and dangerous or noxious materials must not be carried on our trains.
Terms and conditions
- The plain train tickets cost the same for everyone. Only the KL TravelPass has separate Malaysian and visitor rates.
- Train tickets: adult covers 16 to 99, child covers 6 to 15. A child ticket must be bought with an adult ticket.
- Train tickets are valid for 31 days from the travel date you select.
- Scan the QR code at the barrier gate. There is nothing to collect for a plain train ticket.
- The KL TravelPass must be redeemed for a physical card at the KLIA Ekspres Customer Service Counter at KLIA Terminal 1, Terminal 2 or KL Sentral.
- Bring MyKad or MyKid to redeem a Malaysian KL TravelPass. Redemption is refused if you do not meet the eligibility.
- The TravelPass card comes loaded with RM5 and can be topped up afterwards.
- Once activated, the two days of unlimited travel run consecutively from first use. The KLIA Ekspres leg is single use.
- Non-refundable.
- Up to three pieces of personal luggage travel free.

The plain train ticket goes straight through the barrier gate. The TravelPass has to be exchanged for a physical card at a counter first, so allow time.
Two prices, one ticket
Malaysian or visitor rate
This attraction charges Malaysian residents less than visitors. Both rates are on sale here, so pick the one that matches the traveller, not the cheaper one.

Buying the wrong rate costs you the difference
Only the KL TravelPass splits by residency, and by a small margin: RM85 against RM90 at cost for a single. Redemption is refused rather than upgraded if you cannot show MyKad or MyKid on a Malaysian pass. You are not usually turned away, but you pay the gap at the counter, and it is more than the saving.
Book in the traveller's own name, spelled as it appears on their IC or passport. Both are checked at the counter and a mismatch can mean refused entry with no refund.
