Overview

The Langkawi SkyCab climbs from the Oriental Village at Burau Bay to the top of Machinchang, one of the oldest rock formations in Southeast Asia, and the SkyBridge curves out from the summit on a single pylon. Around it, Panorama Langkawi runs a cluster of smaller attractions: the 3D art gallery, the 6D Cinemotion, the Eagle Nest SkyWalk and Machinchang Petland. Almost everything is sold separately, so read what each ticket covers.

  • Weather: Skycab operation fully depend on weather condition and wind speed.
  • Dresscode: Casual wear recommended.
Terms and conditions
  • Malaysian and visitor rates are priced differently on most tickets, though not all. The SkyBridge, SkyGlide and the gondola upgrades cost the same either way.
  • Adult covers 13 and over. Child covers 3 to 12, or 2 to 12 on some attractions.
  • The lead traveller's name must match their IC or passport. A mismatch can invalidate redemption.
  • Valid on the date you select.
  • No refund or cancellation on an unused ticket.
  • The SkyCab depends entirely on weather and wind speed and can be suspended at short notice.

Malaysian or visitor rate

This attraction charges Malaysian residents less than visitors. Both rates are on sale here, so pick the one that matches the traveller, not the cheaper one.

Buying the wrong rate costs you the difference Langkawi does not publish an upgrade fee. The gap is large on the SkyCab itself, RM38.30 against RM78.50 at cost, but nil on the SkyBridge and the gondola upgrades. You are not usually turned away, but you pay the gap at the counter, and it is more than the saving.

Book in the traveller's own name, spelled as it appears on their IC or passport. Both are checked at the counter and a mismatch can mean refused entry with no refund.

The SkyCab runs only when the weather and wind allow. Check before you travel out to Oriental Village.
