Overview

Twin towers joined at the top by an open-air ring 173 metres above Osaka, reached by an escalator that crosses the gap in mid air. One of the few rooftop observatories in Japan with no glass between you and the view.

Opening hours Monday to Wednesday 09:30 to 10:30. Thursday 09:30 to 11:00. Friday to Sunday 09:30 to 10:30. Open from 9:30am-10:30pm.

Important information

Important rules
  • Collect your ticket at the Kuchu Teien Observatory counter on the 39th floor, open 09:30 to 22:30. Last admission is 22:00.
  • No age limit. The indoor floors are the better choice if heights are uncomfortable.
  • Busiest in cherry blossom season, in autumn and on public holidays.
  • It is cooler on the open rooftop, particularly in the evening. Bring a light jacket.
  • Outside food and drink are not allowed on the observation floors.
Terms and conditions
  • Not valid on special operating days such as the Osaka Yodogawa Fireworks Festival.
  • Wheelchair users should take the high floor elevator on the first floor of the East Tower.
  • The rooftop can close in storms and high wind. The indoor observation floors stay open.
