Overview

Entopia is a nature discovery centre in Teluk Bahang, Penang, focused on insects and other invertebrates and the part they play in keeping nature in balance. It is split into two connected areas: Natureland, an outdoor living garden, and The Cocoon, an indoor discovery centre. This ticket is for the daytime visit; the after-dark biofluorescent experience is a separate ticket.

Description / Important notes

  • Mykad Special tickets are for Malaysian residents only.
  • This ticket is valid for single entry only. It must be redeemed on or before the expiration date specified on the ticket. After the stated date, the ticket will be considered NULL and VOID and cannot be used for redemption.
  • Re-entry is not allowed once you have exited the park/building. We kindly encourage visitors to plan your visit accordingly and ensure that you have enjoyed all exhibits, activities, and experiences before leaving for the day.
  • Adult is defined as 13 to 59 years old; Child is defined as 4 to 12 years old and Senior citizen is defined as 60 years old and above. Admission is free of charge for children age of 3 and below and does not require a ticket.
  • Each ticket holder must present their valid identification card/passport or other relevant documents upon entry to the park at the admission turnstile. Butterfly House (Pg) Sdn. Bhd. reserves the right to reject entries if visitors are not able to present their valid identification card/passport or other relevant documents upon entry to the park at the admission turnstile; or attempt to enter the park using wrong or fraud tickets. Visitors will be requested to purchase the correct tickets should they wish to enter the park and no refund will be allowed.
  • Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by adults at all times.
  • This ticket is not valid for Entopia by Night and Biofluorescent Odyssey.

How to use your ticket

  • Show Mobile Ticket: Please proceed directly to the entrance turnstile to scan your e-ticket. There is no need to queue at the ticketing counter.
  • Entopia is open daily from 9:00am to 6:00pm. Last admission is at 5:00pm. Please check our official website at www.entopia.com for the latest updates or announcements.
  • Proof of age will be required when redeeming entries for children and senior citizens at the admission turnstiles.

  • Bug Exploration: Explore with us as we discover the interesting lives of our amazing animal friends and catch glimpses of our Bug Exploration superstars.
  • Special Appearance: You might grab a chance to meet our superstars! Come and capture your magical moments with them.
  • Butterfly Race: Discover mother nature by challenging yourself to complete the race. You’ll be seeking out the different butterflies here in the garden and also stand a chance to win yourself a limited edition gift!

  • Operation Hours: Please kindly visit Entopia official website for any updates of operation hours.
  • Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible.
  • Butterflies are not visible or active at night, as they rest after sunset. Entopia By Night focuses on biofluorescence and nocturnal discoveries.
  • Entopia By Night is exclusively an outdoor garden experience. Indoor Discovery Centre (Cocoon) and Entopia Store will remain closed from 6:00pm onwards.
  • Visitors are advised to check the weather forecast before purchasing tickets and bring umbrellas to enjoy the garden walk comfortably in case of rain.
