Overview
Two towers are joined at the top by an open-air ring 173 metres above Osaka, and this ticket takes you up to it. You walk around the rooftop with no glass between you and the view, which makes it one of the few observatories in Japan where that is true.

What to expect
- Visit the iconic Umeda Sky Building and head up to the Floating Garden Observatory, one of Japan’s renowned open-air rooftop observation decks. Located 173 meters above ground, the observatory offers breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views of Osaka’s cityscape. Take a relaxing break at cafe SKY 40 on the 40th floor, where you can enjoy an original drink while admiring the beautiful sunset. As evening falls, stroll along the Lumi Sky Walk, a starry-lit rooftop walkway where you can enjoy the sparkling atmosphere and stunning nighttime views of Osaka.
- Depending on your selected plan, you can also enjoy unique experiences at the observatory, such as the colorful Heart Lock, which can be engraved with your name and date and attached to the Promise Fence, or the popular Color Pop Soda Float topped with soft-serve ice cream and sparkling star decorations. Things to note
- No age restrictions. Guests with vertigo may prefer the indoor observation areas.
- Expect larger crowds during cherry blossom season, autumn, and public holidays. Advance booking is recommended.
- The open-air rooftop may close during strong winds or heavy rain, while indoor observation areas remain open.
- No dress code. Bring a light jacket, as it can be cooler at the rooftop, especially in the evening.
- Outside food and beverages are not permitted on the observation floors. Dining options are available within the building.
