Overview

This UK local SIM by THREE has a total of 25GB data ONLY in the UK. Outside the UK, the maximum data usage in 30 days is 12GB. So even though you have bigger data, not all the quota can be used in the 72 countries. You'll have unlimited local calls and SMS but only in countries in the UK and Europe. Hotspot is also available only in UK and Europe.

Activate in any of the 72 countries listed (avoid unsupported ones like Malaysia). For Colombia, activate it elsewhere or it won't work.

How good is the network coverage of this United Kingdom and Europe Three travel prepaid plan?

This is primarily a United Kingdom card by the Three Network. You can use it freely in the UK with speeds up to 5G. When you use it outside the UK, the speed will depend on the country's network coverage.

I am going to Colombia. Can I use this card there?

Yes, BUT you have to use it first in one of the 72 countries listed, or else it cannot be activated in Colombia. If you are not visiting or stopover at the other countries listed, then please do not purchase this card as you will not be able to use it solely in Columbia.

Can I turn on hotspot and share the connection with other users/devices?

Yes, you can! But hotspot is only available in the UK and Europe.

If I finish using my data, will I still be able to surf the internet at a slower speed?

No, you cannot. We recommend using a new card.

Can I top up data once data is finished?

Outside the UK, there is a maximum cap of 12GB usage per number in 30 days. Hence even if you top up, you can't use the GB allocation due to this restriction.

Can I use this on my Mifi and Tablets?

Yes, you can but only in UK & Europe countries. Other than these countries, hotspot and tethering are not supported

Can I call any number with the unlimited calls and SMS allowance?

You can only call any UK/Europe numbers while you are in UK/Europe. For example, if you are in Australia, you are unable to call a UK/Europe number.

Will I be charged for receiving calls from Malaysia?

As long as you are in any of the listed 72 countries, receiving calls from anywhere around the world is free.

Is it true that I can use this card in the 72 countries listed?

Yes, you can but the speed really depends on which country you are in. 

What happen if I make a call exceeding 20 minutes at a time?

 It may trigger Three's fraud detection system and will result in your SIM being barred. There is nothing we can do to unbar your SIM card. Read other prohibited uses here.

Can I use WhatsApp to chat and make calls with this card?

You certainly can. Using Whatsapp to call saves you money.

Is the data inside this card enough for my usage?

An average person consumes 4GB (4000MB) of data in a 15-day period. Much less if traveling overseas for leisure as most of the time will be spent looking at sceneries or participating in some form of outdoor activities.

Can I use this SIM card in a new phone?

Make sure you make at least 10 to 15-minute calls and receive calls to unlock the phone so it can be used with overseas SIM cards.
