Overview
Entopia is Penang's butterfly farm, rebuilt as two connected worlds: Natureland, the outdoor living garden, and The Cocoon, the indoor discovery centre. Around 15,000 butterflies fly free at any one time, alongside more than 150 species of fauna and 200 of flora. It is a daytime visit; the after-dark biofluorescent experience is a separate ticket.

- Show Mobile Ticket: Please proceed directly to the entrance turnstile to scan your e-ticket. There is no need to queue at the ticketing counter
- Entopia is open daily from 9:00am to 6:00pm. Last admission is at 5:00pm. Please check our official website at www.entopia.com for the latest updates or announcements
- Proof of age will be required when redeeming entries for children and senior citizens at the admission turnstiles

- Butterflies are not visible or active at night, as they rest after sunset. Entopia By Night focuses on biofluorescence and nocturnal discoveries.
- Entopia By Night is exclusively an outdoor garden experience. Indoor Discovery Centre (Cocoon) and Entopia Store will remain closed from 6:00pm onwards.
- Visitors are advised to check the weather forecast before purchasing tickets and bring umbrellas to enjoy the garden walk comfortably in case of rain.
Terms and conditions
- MyKad and non-MyKad tickets are sold separately. Buy the one that matches the traveller.
- Adult covers 13 to 59. Child covers 4 to 12. Senior covers 60 to 99.
- Valid for 45 days from booking.
- Wheelchair accessible.
- Butterflies rest after sunset. For the after-dark biofluorescent experience, buy the Entopia By Night ticket instead.
Two prices, one ticket
Malaysian or visitor rate
This attraction charges Malaysian residents less than visitors. Both rates are on sale here, so pick the one that matches the traveller, not the cheaper one.

Buying the wrong rate costs you the difference
Entopia prices the MyKad and non-MyKad tickets the same, so there is no saving to be had either way, but the gate still checks which you hold. You are not usually turned away, but you pay the gap at the counter, and it is more than the saving.
Book in the traveller's own name, spelled as it appears on their IC or passport. Both are checked at the counter and a mismatch can mean refused entry with no refund.
