Overview
ESCAPE Penang is an outdoor adventure park in the hills above Teluk Bahang, built around doing things rather than being carried through them. It splits into two halves on one ticket: Adventureplay, which is ziplines, climbing and obstacle courses on land, and Waterplay, which holds a Guinness World Record waterslide. There are around 40 rides and courses between them, graded by difficulty.

- Restrictions: Certain attractions may not be suitable for guests who are less physically able, or have certain medical conditions.
- Restrictions: Certain attractions require you to be a competent swimmer. Refrain from participating in these activities if you have doubts of your ability.

- Dresscode: For hygiene and water quality reasons, proper swimwear must be worn.
- Dresscode: Clothing made for everyday wear, T-shirts, & clothing that have buttons/adornments that may cause damage are not allowed in the pools & on slides.
- Dresscode: Strict swimwear policy at ECSAPE Waterplay: Bikinis, Swim Trunks, Rash Guards & Swim Diapers are allowed, but not Sports Shorts, T-Shirts & Diapers.
- Dresscode: For hygiene reasons guests are required to shower before entering the pools.
- Dresscode: Highly recommend comfortable sports clothing & pants/shorts. Guests are required to wear close-toed shoes at Adventureplay & Gravityplay.
Terms and conditions
- You must pre-register a photograph of your face online before you arrive. The registration link is on your ticket. Entry uses face recognition.
- Adult covers 13 to 60. Child covers 4 to 12.
- Children aged 3 and under enter free.
- Guests aged 61 and over enter free on production of a valid MyKad, and must be accompanied by a paying guest. Seniors without a MyKad need an adult ticket.
- Open dated. Valid for 60 days from booking.
- No cancellation and non-refundable.
- Some attractions are unsuitable for guests with limited mobility or certain medical conditions.
- Some attractions require you to be a competent swimmer. Do not attempt those if you are unsure.
Common questions
Do I need to do anything before I arrive?
Yes, and it is easy to miss. ESCAPE Penang uses facial recognition at the gate, so you must pre-register a photo of your face online using the link on your ticket, for every person on the booking.
Does one ticket cover both parks?
Yes. Adventureplay and Waterplay are both included.
My parent is over 61. Do they need a ticket?
Not if they hold a Malaysian MyKad and are with a paying guest, in which case entry is free. A senior without a MyKad needs an adult ticket.

Entry is by face recognition
ESCAPE Penang admits guests by facial recognition, not by scanning a code alone. You have to upload a photograph of yourself in advance, using the registration link printed on your ticket. Do it when you book, not at the gate.

- Without it, expect to be held up at the entrance.
