Rapi:t is the Nankai limited express between Kansai Airport and southern Osaka, calling at Tengachaya, Shin-Imamiya and Namba. Choose the direction you need, then use the link on your voucher to reserve a seat, which has to be done at least a day before you travel.

Things to note
  • Tickets cannot be used on the day you buy them. Seat reservations start the day after purchase.
  • Reserve your seat through the link on your voucher, at least five minutes before your train departs.
  • Seat reservation is unavailable between 01:50 and 03:00 Japan time.
  • Your boarding QR code appears from 04:00 Japan time on the day you travel.
  • A screenshot of the QR code is not accepted at the gate.
  • Enter through the dedicated e-ticket gates. Regular ticket gates will not accept this ticket.
  • Turn off your phone's dark mode before scanning.
  • Each phone shows one ticket at a time. If you buy several, send the others to your companions' phones.
  • Standard seats only. Business class cannot be reserved.
  • You may change the reservation twice, each time at least five minutes before departure.
  • Break your journey and the ticket cannot be used again.
  • Rapi:t alpha does not stop at Sakai station.
  • Adults aged 12 and over only. Under-12s buy on site, and one paying adult may bring up to two children aged 0 to 5.

Terms and conditions

  • Up to 8 tickets towards Kansai Airport and 8 away from it may be bought per day.
  • Tickets bought in one transaction must be used on the same train and cannot be split.
  • A lost, broken or flat phone means the ticket cannot be used, reissued or refunded.

Common questions

Which direction should I choose?

There are two tickets. One covers Kansai Airport to Namba, Shin-Imamiya or Tengachaya; the other covers the same stations back to the airport. Each is a single one-way journey, so book one for arrival and a second for departure.

Can I travel on the day I book?

No. GlobalTix states the ticket cannot be used on the day of purchase, and seats can only be reserved from the day after. Reservation is also unavailable between 01:50 and 03:00 Japan time.

How do I board?

You reserve a seat through the link on your voucher, and a QR code appears from 04:00 Japan time on your travel day. A screenshot of the code is not accepted. GlobalTix's own records disagree on whether a redemption counter is also involved, and we have asked them to confirm before this ticket goes on sale.

Is there a child ticket?

No. GlobalTix sells this as an adult ticket for ages 12 and over. Under-12s buy on site, and one paying adult may bring up to two children aged 0 to 5.

Can I cancel or change this booking?

The ticket is non-refundable. The seat reservation can be changed at most twice, and any change must be made at least five minutes before the booked train departs.
