Overview
Petrosains is the hands-on science discovery centre inside Suria KLCC, at the foot of the Petronas Twin Towers. It is built around doing rather than reading: interactive exhibits, live demonstrations and STEM activities, with the displays refreshed often enough that repeat visits are worth it. It runs on timed entry, so arrive for your slot.

Opening hours Tuesday to Friday 09:30 to 17:30. Saturday and Sunday 09:30 to 19:30. Last Admission is 1 hour before the closing time. Closed on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month except if the 1st or 3rd Monday of the month is a Public Holiday or a School Holiday.

- Tickets are limited and on first come first served basis.
- Petrosains operates on a time-ticketing system, please be at the entrance or lobby at least 15 minutes before your entry time.
- Kindly book in advance for groups over 20 pax via infopetrosains@petronas.com or +603-2331 8181 to avoid disappointment. Entry follows the reserved time slot.
- Children below twelve (12) years old must be accompanied by at least a parent / an adult upon entering Petrosains, The Discovery Centre.
- Age is determined by year of birth instead of exact date of birth.
Terms and conditions
- Malaysian and visitor rates are priced differently. Buy the one that matches the traveller.
- Non Peak means weekdays. Peak means weekends and public holidays.
- Adult covers 13 to 60.
- Petrosains runs timed entry. Be at the entrance or lobby at least 15 minutes before your slot.
- Tickets are limited and sold first come, first served.
- A minor must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian throughout.
- Valid for 180 days from purchase.
Two prices, one ticket
Malaysian or visitor rate
This attraction charges Malaysian residents less than visitors. Both rates are on sale here, so pick the one that matches the traveller, not the cheaper one.

Buying the wrong rate costs you the difference
Petrosains does not publish an upgrade fee. The gap is substantial: RM23.40 against RM40.20 at cost for a weekday adult. You are not usually turned away, but you pay the gap at the counter, and it is more than the saving.
Book in the traveller's own name, spelled as it appears on their IC or passport. Both are checked at the counter and a mismatch can mean refused entry with no refund.
