How you get your eSIM

1. Order
Choose your plan and complete your purchase.

2. Upload your passport
We email you a secure link straight after payment. Upload a photo of your passport photo page, the one showing the two lines of code along the bottom.

3. Receive your eSIM
Once your passport passes our check, your QR code is emailed to you automatically. This usually takes under a minute.

No app registration is needed. The old Tune Talk app registration step no longer applies to this plan.

• Sold to non-Malaysian passport holders only. A Malaysian passport will not be accepted.
• No refund if a valid non-Malaysian passport is not provided.
• Maximum 2 eSIMs per passport.
• Your passport must still be valid. Expired passports are not accepted.

Who can buy this plan?

Non-Malaysian passport holders only. If you are buying it for a visitor, that is fine, just upload their passport rather than your own when we ask for it.

What if I hold a Malaysian passport?

Please do not buy this plan. A Malaysian passport will not be accepted, your eSIM will not be issued, and no refund is given if a valid non-Malaysian passport is not provided. Malaysians should use our eSIM Malaysia plan instead, which needs no passport.

How will I get the QR code to install this eSIM?

Straight after payment we email you a secure link to upload your passport. Once it passes our check, your eSIM QR code is emailed to you automatically, usually in under a minute.

Why do you need my passport?

Prepaid mobile lines in Malaysia have to be accounted for, so we keep a record of who each eSIM was sold to. Your passport is stored only as that record. It is not shared with anyone else, and you can ask us to delete it at support@hello1010.my once your trip has ended.

Do I still need to register in the Tune Talk app?

No. App registration no longer applies to this plan. Uploading your passport is the only step.

What if my photo is rejected?

The page will tell you why and you can upload another photo straight away. The usual reasons are glare, a cropped edge, or the wrong page. Use the photo page and make sure the two lines of code along the bottom are fully visible.

How many eSIMs can I get on one passport?

Maximum 2 eSIMs per passport.

Can I install the eSIM now and use it later?

Yes. We recommend installing it before travelling so it works the moment you arrive in Malaysia. Your plan only starts once you are in Malaysia.

Important: once installed, do not delete the eSIM as it cannot be installed again. A new eSIM would need to be purchased. You may delete it after your trip ends.

Can I transfer the eSIM to another phone?

No. Once installed, the eSIM is locked to the phone it was scanned on and cannot be transferred.

My phone already uses an eSIM. Can I still use this one?

Most phones support multiple eSIM profiles, but only one or two lines can be active at the same time depending on the device.

You can temporarily switch off your existing eSIM and activate the Tune Talk eSIM during your trip.

How is the network coverage?

This eSIM runs on the CelcomDigi network, one of Malaysia’s largest mobile networks with strong nationwide coverage.

What happens if I use up my data?

Internet access will stop once your data is fully used.

You can purchase additional data easily through the Tune Talk app.

Can I use this eSIM on a new phone or any phone?

Your phone must support eSIM and be network unlocked. If your phone is carrier locked, contact your mobile provider to unlock it before use.
